[june 14] crochet rag rug w/ tania skevos

$115.00

4-8pm

Making your own rugs is a beautiful way to add color and texture to your home, as well as to minimize textile waste. In this class, regional artist Tania Skevos will guide students to make a circular rug using a big crochet hook and yarn made from scrap fabric. Class will cover all the basic stitches needed as well as best techniques for cutting strips and adding new colors to your designs.

This is a great way to repurpose those favorite garments that may have been outgrown, stained, or ripped. Students will go home with a completed small rug or the start of something bigger, and a new outlook on old textiles!

Some crochet experience recommended.

Ages 16+. All supplies included.
