[july 28] indigo community pot

$15.00

11:30a-2:30pm

Experience the joys of indigo (before heading to off to summer festivals) with Atelier and Great Basin Fibershed through our community indigo pot. There are ten spots per one hour time slot. Registration will cover one item that can be dipped and you’ll be sent home with some basic instructions about indigo and natural dyeing. If you would like to dye more than one item, there will be an additional fee of $5 per item.

The dye pot appreciates scouring your fabrics before dipping. Please bring scoured items only as to not deteriorate the integrity of the dye pot.

Please select your preferred one hour time-slot at registration.

We appreciate your continued support of the Great Basin Fibershed.

All received funds will support the mission of Great Basin Fibershed and help offset event costs. Please note, this is not a workshop, but rather a chance for us to gather and enjoy conversation while we turn our natural fibers a beautiful shade of blue.

about the great basin fibershed

This workshop is hosted by Great Basin Fibershed with funding coming from a Fibershed Micro-Grant. Fibershed is a non-profit organization that develops regional fiber systems that build ecosystem and community health. Our work expands opportunities to implement climate benefitting agriculture, rebuild regional manufacturing, and connect end-users to the source of our fiber through education. We transform the economic systems behind the production of material culture to mitigate climate change, improve health, and contribute to racial and economic equity.

Fibershed affiliate chapters exist across the globe. The Great Basin Fibershed chapter was founded in 2021 and encompasses the environmental region of the Great Basin within the state of Nevada. We seek to promote and support regional textile economies, climate beneficial textile production, and engage in education and advocacy with our communities.
