Use the art of tying square knots with cotton rope to create intricate and stunning hanging baskets. In this introductory macramé workshop, fiber artist April Dawn Reigart guides students through creating a personalized design. Each student will take home their custom macramé hanging basket you can use for fruit, knick-knacks or yarn stashes.

No experience necessary.

At this time, due the amount of pre-planning, nature of a workshop environments and with respect to our instructor, we can not issue refunds on workshop registrations. In the event of an emergency, please notify us you will not be attending at least 48 hours prior to receive a credit towards another workshop. about april dawn reigart

April moved to the Lake Tahoe in 2017. She has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and spent close to 10 years teaching at Moore College of Art and Design (in Philadelphia), as well as in various community centers, after school programs and continuing ed. She was also chairperson of an art department, as well as an instructor, for five years at a performing arts camp in The Berkshires. She spent many years exhibiting her work and selling handmades in boutiques and craft shows. Some of her knit-work and jewelry has been featured in magazines. She spent a brief time in Los Angeles attending a fashion school at Otis College of Art and Design while designing sweater patterns for L’Atelier. She lives on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore and works as a Holistic Health Coach and cookbook author and knitter!
