Create stunning, lifelike flowers out of card stock paper with artist, Jinny Tomozy. In this class, you will create at least two blooms and foliage to form a small bouquet. These everlasting blossoms will bring color and life into your space or can be a great gift that is made from the heart. Students will use precut shapes and will also learn to hand-cut flowers from a provided template. A ball stylus, chopsticks, exacto knife and other tools to shape the petals and leaves. Hot glue, floral tape and wire will be used to put the blooms together. All materials and tools will be provided. Tissue paper and ribbon will be available to wrap your bouquets, but feel free to bring a small vase if you would rather place your flowers in a vase. Appropriate for ages 13 and up, as long as student has finger dexterity.

Jinny Tomozy is a Fine Art Painter and Teacher that works in a wide range of mediums and subject matter. Her work ranges from realism to abstraction and often settles somewhere in between. She focuses on the interplays of color, contrast of form, spatial depth and loves to grapple over when to be explicit and when be intuitive. Growing up exploring the Sierra Nevada and the vastness of the high desert, she developed a deep gratitude for life and nature. Jinny moved to San Francisco in 1996 where she spent 21 years attending art school, teaching art, working in school executive administration, and creating her family. When she moved back home, she rediscovered the immense beauty of this region and its colorful art community which lead her to find her center around painting again. She paints and teaches out of her art studio in Artemisia Studios of Reno.
